DETAILS
Join us for an insightful discussion on the innovative YIGBY (Yes in God’s Back Yard) initiative, which aims to empower faith-based and educational institutions to address Colorado's housing crisis by utilizing their underutilized land for affordable housing. Discover how YIGBY aligns with broader goals of creating inclusive, affordable neighborhoods, ensuring community members like teachers, seniors, and veterans can live where they work and thrive. This session will highlight the leadership of Mile High Ministries and its Abundant Ground program in helping to spearheading the YIGBY movement. By providing education, technical assistance, and community engagement resources, Abundant Ground is guiding faith-based organizations through discernment, land use planning, and partnerships with mission-aligned developers. This work demonstrates how local institutions can transform challenges into opportunities, building housing that truly meets the needs of their communities. Cost is free, but we appreciate your RSVP so that we can plan lunch appropriately.
